(Vacancy No. 21091301625) Two vacancies for the post of Assistant Engineer (Naval Quality Assurance) Electrical, Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence ( OBC-01, UR-01). The vacancies are suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL).     ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical/ Electronics engineering from a recognized university. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control/ Production / Manufacturing and testing of Engineering equipments including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.

    DESIRABLE: Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation of technical reports, technical briefs etc.

    NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

    DUTIES: The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments and stores, defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents / agreements/ supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality. DUTIES (i) Full administrative and technical control of drill unit as a camp-in-charge. DUTIES: Supervision of survey work, Guide and trained survey personnel, ensure quality of work and completion of survey task in time, proper periodic maintenance of survey instruments and accessories, keep records of quality and output of work submitted by survey personnel attached to him/her.
